U.S. readies "reasonable" ID card rules after debate. WASHINGTON (Reuters: Top News) - U.S. officials said they would unveil on Friday reasonable and inexpensive national requirements to implement an identification-card program critics call a costly invasion of privacy.

Happy Birthday Frankie!



Frank Sinatra, Jr. was born on this day in 1944. I'll celebrate with a listen to "That Face" his excellent album from 2006.

Senator Clinton: One Woman's Perspective

Frances Kissling supports John Edwards for President. In this very cogent opinion piece at Salon she explains why, though a feminist, she doesn't support Hillary.

I did some soul searching, and in the end there were too many issues of principle on which she was willing to compromise. Her commitment to practicality over principle made it hard to be enthusiastic about her candidacy.

Why I'm still not for Hillary Clinton. (Salon) - Women voters rallied en masse for her -- but she has run as a stereotypical male and represents the same old cowardly Clintonian politics.
